SHORE EXCURSION CADIZ: itinerary
One look at the skyline of Cadiz and you’ll realize just how beautiful this city is, perfect for exploring further in our shore excursion.
This narrow strip of land, surrounded by the sea boasts many attractive buildings and squares to explore. First, we’ll walk along the promenade, admiring the landscape of the Bay of Cadiz.
Our shore excursion continues to the Old Town where we’ll visit the New Cathedral. It was built between 1722 and 1838 next door to the old cathedral that was considered too small for the growing Cadiz.
At the Church of the Oratorio de San Felipe Neri we can admire the wonderful altarpiece representing the Virgin Mary, painted by one of the greatest Spanish baroque painters, Murillo.
The Cadiz shore excursion will also take in the Hospital de Nuestra Señora del Carmen and Genovés Park. Before coming back to the port, we will have some free time at disposal to walk through the city center, and to relax in the wonderful San Juan de Dios district.
*Shore excursions could be subject to variations due to external causes as Cruise Companies politics, weather conditions, duration of the stay of the ship in the port, legal demonstrations.
