Our shore excursion starts from the port of Bari, where we’ll meet our driver and guide to begin the visit with a panoramic tour of Bari. The guide will lead you directly to the heart of the city, along the medieval walls bordering the Adriatic sea.

The visit continues in the Basilica of St. Nicholas, known for its Romanesque architecture that was a model for many other cathedrals in the region. Inside you can admire the three naves which are exceptional examples of medieval architecture.

Walking through the narrow streets of the old town, we’ll continue towards Bari Cathedral, built in the 12th century. Keep your eyes open for the crypt which is a real triumph of Baroque art.

The Bari shore excursion continues with a visit of the Castello Svevo, whose construction was begun by the work of Roger II and completed by Frederick II in 1233.

At the end of the excursion we’ll return to the port with enough time for boarding.
