Our Nazareth shore excursion will leave the port of Haifa by bus. During the drive, we’ll admire Mount Tabor, aka Mount of Transfiguration and later make a short stop at the site of the Baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River.

Next, we’ll reach Capernaum, an ancient fishing village on the Sea of Galilee. It was the birthplace of St. Peter and also where Jesus spent long periods of his life.

Our shore excursion will then reach the city of Nazareth. We’ll discover the Basilica of the Annunciation, where the angel Gabriel told Mary she would give birth to the Son of God.

Throughout the city, you can see archaeological excavations and remains dating back to the time of Jesus. There’s lots to see in the childhood home of Jesus, including many shrines to biblical events.

We’ll also visit the Franciscan Museum, the Church of St. Joseph and the Fountain of the Virgin before heading back to port and concluding the Nazareth shore excursion.
