Shore Excursion Jerusalem: itinerary

Our Jerusalem shore excursion begins at the Garden of Gethsemane. Located at the foot of the Mount of Olives, this holy site is known as the place where Jesus retired after the Last Supper.

At this site, we’ll see the Church of All Nations. Inside this church, is a section of bedrock where Jesus is said to have prayed before his arrest.

Then we’ll visit the Western Wall; a remnant of a longer ancient wall and today the site of prayers and special services. From the square you can also see the El Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock; a holy place for Muslims.

The Jerusalem shore excursion then takes the path Jesus took to the crucifixion, Via Dolorosa. Continuing until we reach Holy Sepulchre and the Mount of Calvary.

After a little free time for lunch we’ll then head to Bethlehem. Here we’ll visit the Church of the Nativity, which is built on the site of what’s considered to be the birthplace of Jesus.

Finally, we’ll return to our bus and make the one hour and 20 minute journey to the Port of Ashdod.
