Shore Excursion Saint Tropez: itinerary

The port of Saint Tropez is just a few minutes walk from the old town so our shore excursion can begin almost immediately after leaving the cruise ship.

Saint Tropez is a town unlike any other and during our eight-hour tour we’ll have time to discover its charms.

We’ll begin by walking through the small streets of La Ponche, the old fishermen’s quarter until we reach Tour du Portalet. This 15th century tower overlooks the beach where some small fishing boats still remain.

Then in the heart of the town, our Saint Tropez shore excursion will take in some of the main sights: the Grand Rue, Place de la Garonne, Place des Lices, Place de l’Ormeau, Rue d’Aumale, Rue Saint-Jean.

Our last stop will be at the Eglise de Saint-Tropez, a 16th century Baroque church, and one of the most important monuments of the city. We’ll see the Chapelle de la Misericorde and a lovely polychrome tile dome that sits on top of the bell tower.

At the end of the Saint Tropez shore excursion we’ll leave the red roofed skyline behind and return to the port.
